TDAge theme for WordPress thumbnailWe are pleased to announce the November Performancing WordPress Theme: TDAge

A free, public release version of design guru Thord Daniel Hedengren‘s Swedish-language blog, TDAge is a light-blue themed design with big, bold feed and “about” images, and large-font headers. TDAge also has easy access links to a blog’s pages and categories from the headers, and has a clean-cut pre-defined template for use as an archive summary page.

TDAge is a pun for TDH, which stands for–you guessed it!–Thord Daniel Hedengren, who has developed various designs for Splashpress Media, including the Blog Herald, Jack of All Blogs, Blog Network Watch, Blogger Jobs, Bloggy Award, Audival, Wisdump, Devlounge, and many more. Thord has also collaborated with us on other Performancing WordPress Theme releases: One in a Million and Estranged.

One in a Million Theme

One in a Million theme for WordPress preview imageOne in a Million is a three-column theme for WordPress featuring a fixed-width layout with a center-positioned main content column. The theme is easy on the eyes, using subdued hues and clean typefaces. The header and footer have an old world, homey feel to them, using a wallpaper-like pattern as background image. Yet, One in a Million is very suitable for professional and corporate blogs because of the clean and legible look.

One in a Million is yet another collaboration between Performancing and Thord Daniel Hedengren, who has done countless other WordPress Themes for Performancing and Splashpress Media.

Estranged Theme

Estranged Theme for WordPress preview imageEstranged is the latest classic Performancing theme for WordPress that reflects a no-nonsense, straightforward look. The theme was developed in collaboration with designer Thord Daniel Hedengren of BloggerTalks fame. Thord has worked on developing and/or overhauling several other Splashpress Media blogs and services, such as the Eatonweb Blog Directory, Jack of All Blogs, Blog Network Watch, Blogger Jobs, and well as Audival, and did some improvements to the Blog Herald look.

Estranged is a two-column theme that features large, standout headers, and easy-to read body and link text. The color scheme involves subtle shades of grey and red, with a bit of orange, and these add to that simple yet eye-catching look. The proportions of the columns and the headers are just right, making ample use of the rule of thirds popular among those in the visual arts. Contrast is just right–having adequate readability, but not at the cost of being too much of a glare. The theme also makes adequate use of white space, so the blog doesn’t look cramped.

Estranged is suitable for both personal and professional bloggers who prefer a clean looking theme with enough space for the essentials. The right sidebar is wide enough to accommodate square ad space (text links or images) up to 250 pixels in width. This is great for bloggers who would rather not stuff in too much information, but would rather present essential information in blocks. This is due to the fact that there is only one sidebar, and that the footer does not support lists or longer content than the copyright statement.
