So it seems that Raj was right…the drupal codefilter module handles this:
just wrap all of your code with the following tags:
<code>your code goes here</code>
You can read a detailed guide on this subject here.
You’ll then know when and where to use such code converter and why use them? Hope this helps.

I’m sorry. I meant posting html code so that it will display as code and not be interpreted by the browser.
I do not have any problems either. Does this have anything to do with trying to get more optimzed code? or possibly publishing coding examples without it turning into code?
