If you’re blogging professionally, it’s important to remember that it’s a business (even if it can be fun!). Evan Williams (the founder of Pyra Labs, which produced Blogger) posted his Ten Rules for Web Startups, and I think they were spot on.
It amazed me how much they overlapped with what we talk about here: “#1: Be Narrow” & “#2: Be Different” (niche selection), “#5: Be User-Centric” (usability), “#7: Be Greedy” (monetization as a priority), etc. A shout out to Darren for adapting the entire list to blogs, good stuff mate.
