The Challenge

TechSmith needed to increase its exposure for its re-introduction of Camtasia for Mac users. They came to Performancing looking to build links with keywords to increase their organic search engine rankings without having to increase their spending on PPC ads. Camtasia wanted to increase their links through great article content submission with effective keywords.

The goal was to use the competitive keywords used in their PPC campaign to gain top rankings in the natural search engine results. Search terms such as “screen recordings”, “mac screencast” or “screen shots” are some of the terms their competitors where ranking high with.

The Performancing Campaign

Performancing’s group of professional writers and staff were able to put together both short-term and long term plans to effectively establish results for their goals. Less competitive keywords were targeted first to increase the search rankings quickly. Competitive keywords from their competitors, in their niche industry, were also targeted with precision.

The marketing message was crafted using the following link-building strategy:

  • Search engine friendly informational content.
