I’m going to wait for a while before upgrading. From my experience, every new release – whether it’s WordPress, Microsoft, Firefox, etc. – has bugs. I’d rather wait while they get those kinks ironed out and the plug-ins made compatible.

Yep, just upgraded from WP 2.7 to WP 3.0. No problem at all, All my plugins is working fine

Sounds like the consensus so far is to wait. I agree — the plugins compatibility issue is a big one.

I’ve been in the computer field for many years and one thing that I’ve definitely learnt is to be patient. If I get the itch to try something really new, I’ll do it with a test system. With the bugs that have been found around themes, I’m sure I’d have at least 100 blogs that would have needed to be restored from backups because of themes issues.

i havent upgraded my WordPress to WP3 yet just studying the plug ins first

I always wait until all of my important plugins say they are compatible with the newest stable release. I’m still waiting on a couple and have contacted the authors so as soon as I get the go ahead from them I’ll upgrade.
