Hey guys.
I've written a tutorial on creating a Language Pack (a.k.a. Locale) for PFF.

It's really easy to do, and very easy to distribute and test this way.

If you have any questions, problems or anything, post here and I'll help you out.

Sorry, I only speak English and Spanish fluently so for me to help you, it will probably have to be in one of those :)

Problem with Firefor for Mac

Jed,
I did not understand how to test the locale pack on Mac Os X. Where do I have to put the xpi file? The two files are not very long and if I am able to test the translations in the real context, then I could finish the Italian version in a couple of days.
Let me know.

Nicola, Once your have you

Nicola,

Once your have you .xpi package ready, install it in your Firefox profile like a normal extension (drag and drop it on Firefox, or use the "File->Open" menu).

Then switch to your language of choice if your firefox install isn't already in that language and when you launch PFF, it should now have grabbed your locale.

For live testing you need to locate your installed language pack in your Firefox Profile (see: http://www.mozilla.org/support/firefox/profile#locate )

On MacOSX it's something like
~/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/xxxxxxxx.default/extensions/localename@performancing.com/localename/overlay.*

Let me know if you still have issues or if I didn't answer your question right.

typo and change

Just a quick note to say that in line 46 of the overlay.dtd there's an 'l' missing in the word please ("Pease select..)

Also would it be OK to translate the heading "Custom Login Details" as "Supply System Details" as that seems to be what the user will be doing on that screen?

Thanks,
Anni

Anni, Thanks for pointing

Anni,

Thanks!
