The first question that comes to mind, is, whether the localization should be formal ("Sie") or informal ("Du"). From my experience on other projects, i think we should go for a formal translation. What's your opinion on this?

And I would prefer to keep the thread English. Not necessarily so but I wouldn't mind it.

We have the last few sunny and warm days for this summer over here (Austria) and i don't want to spend them in front of the screen. Real sunlight is still superior to screen radiation, even when it's a double screen setup ;-)
