@Bamboo Forest - Which blogs have similar content to yours? Those are the blogs I would target with guest posts. As for links, I like to check out the links of my competitors and then try to build those same links. Good luck on your relaunch!

I think keeping things simple is one of the best key in creating good links. What is important also is the content, you know, what is in there. If it is interesting or not.

Excellent advice...it seems that everything comes back to networking! And, of course, quality.

You've illustrated a point I like to make often: simple isn't always easy, but it always works best.

Very well written and succinct. Nicely done.

My blog is going to be relaunched soon. The strategies you've outlined are pretty straight forward. My greatest obstacle in succeeding with these strategies is I'm not exactly sure who is in my niche. My blog is on humor and inspiration. And, frankly, it can be pretty wacky.

So... I don't know who to look for to link to me. I don't even know who to do guest posts for, for maximum results.

That said... I have a bunch of guest posts saved that I will be submitting around the time we relaunch to writing/blogging and personal development blogs.

Anyways, I guess the easiest way to create a link is to write a really high quality guest post.

If you have time and can write quality content, then I agree with you that guest posts are one of the easiest method to receive quality backlinks Another great method is to create a link bait with a fun application.

Thanks for the tips.

Connections and Partnerships are the best ways to build links. Content is good too, but partnerships and JVs rock harder.
