Six Apart, the creators of the publishing tool MoveableType have recently relaunched their domain, Blogs.com. Blogs.com is labeled by Six Apart as "The Best In Blogs". Asides from having a killer domain name, especially in this day in age, Blogs.com serves as a human edited blog directory with one large post a day dedicated to the hot topic of discussion. The directory contains around 1,200 different blogs from which to search for content.

Are you using i.e. Google personal maps?
How do you promote your maps?

Ongopongo is a specialized directory for maps with some digg-like features.

When Google made the 'My Maps' service public in April 2007 (Map-making: So easy a caveman could do it) it only took a very short while until Riley created Ongopongo. This Drupal driven site is a kind of specialized digg clone for links to maps. As far as I have checked out Ongopongo all of the submitted maps are hosted on the Google My Maps service. But you can submit every kind of map because Ongopongo takes links as submission.

Don't expect explanations for the name Ongopongo from me :)

EatonWeb is doing things the old fashioned way.

We're looking for category editors of our blog directory and we're willing to pay $100/month for the service.

Here are the requirements:

1. You should be familiar with the top 10-25 blogs in your category
2. You should be able to write 100 word reviews of each blog that gets submitted in your category
3. You should be interested in helping to make "a blog directory that matters" - not one that passes link juice;-)

Each editor will be required to submit 5 new blog submissions per month in exchange for $100. Submissions will be filtered by the EatonWeb editor for both quality writing and quality blog selection.
