Well, good evening, everyone. Tonight I sit in my home, watching television, writing in my blog, the first entry in this blog inbox. Meanwhile, soldiers and marines of the U.S. armed forces are in simultaneous assaults on the Mahdi terrorists and Al Qaeda thugs in the Sadr City area of Baghdad and Al Anbar province of Iraq, and on the Al Qaeda-Taliban terrorist cartel in the southeastern mountains of Afghanistan, bordering the north and west regions of Pakistan, going after THE senior leadership of Al Qaeda and the Taliban. Nothing would make me happier than to find that Osama bin Laden would be dead at the end of the weekend. Such has been communicated tonight by ABC News. I am mindful of the fact that people a half world away are fighting and dying, either to sustain my way of life, or to destroy it. It is because of the articles and newsletters I read that I've been able to have that perspective.

In particular is the information found in two sources that have been praised by many of those opinion leaders whom I trust. The Patriot Post (www.patriotpost.com) has been a publication that has a commentator on geopolitical and military matters that shows a long view of history indeed. Stratfor (www.stratfor.com) is a private security service that has become known as probably the finest private intelligence research service in the world, and may be even more thorough than the CIA, and certainly more loyal to their own country to boot. Either one of those sources comes with my high recommendation, and will give a perspective on a world that is increasingly complex, and at war, that is without peer anywhere, and will destroy a lot of prejudices and disinformation.

In the meantime, while I may talk on political matters fairly often, I'll talk about other things that matter to me as well. I've learned some things that will prove valuable, I believe, on several matters. I'll discuss them soon. Bye for now.
