I am trying to configure a second wordpress.com blog for a same user id.
Recently, wordpress.com started supporting multiple blogs for same user id. When I am trying to configure the second blog on Performancing for firefox extension, its not able to get the second blog configured.
I opened the "Add new blog" wizard, entered the site URL, the site was identified as wordpress.com rightly, then it asked for user name/password, on entering data - it displays only the first wordpress.com blog and the second blog was not available in the listed blogs.
Any plans to support multiple blogs on wordpress.com
Thanks and Regards

Interesting, thanks for
Interesting, thanks for pointing that out.
The API should send back a list of the blogs you have available under that username and pass. That is odd they don't do that.
I'll look into it and see if there is something we can do.
In the mean-time it might be worth contacting their support and ask them how to access a second blog via the api, or if they plan to support it. (sounds like they don't to me)
Unable to configure second blog on wordpress.com with same user
In the meantime, I could able to configure the second blog with Flock browser's blogging component. You may be interested to see how they could able to configure the second blog on wordpress.com
Works for me (indirectly)
I was able to add my second and third WordPress.com blogs using the 'Manually Configure' option and hand entering my xml-rpc.php location.
Yes, this has been fixed in
Yes, this has been fixed in what will be the next version.
In the mean-time. Manually add it and choose 'Wordpress' as the api.
I Found A Workaround
I posted a similar concern earlier today and I got it to work. Here's how I fixed it:
1. Enter your blog URL and press the Manually Configure button
2. Select "Custom" as your blogging service, then click NEXT
3a. Select "WordPress" as your blog system
3b. Enter the following as your API URL: http://yourblogurl.com/xmlrpc.php. Substitute your actual blog address for everything before /xmlrpc.php
3c. Click on the Advanced Setting button and enter your WordPress API key. Click NEXT when you're done with 3a, 3b and 3c.
4. Enter your WordPress user name and password and click NEXT
5. Performancing should detect your other WordPress blog at this point. Click FINISH to complete setup.
Don't have to use advanced settings
I found you don't need to use the Advanced Settings (step 3c), but if it doesn't work for you, it's worth a try I guess.
RE: I found a workaround
I have two blogs on wordpress. I followed RobbieInSanDiego's directions and when I chose one blog, A, both A and B were added; however, when I posted to blog A and then to blog B to make sure that each post went to the correct blog, one post did not. Both posts went to the blog that I added originally blog A.
To work around the error, I added the other blog. Now I have four blogs: A, B, A, B. I had to figure out which one posted to which and did, but I have to remember when posting which A is actually A not B and vice versa.
Make sense? Perhaps this is a wordpress problem? And yes, I used the API key. I'm the only author/user with same user name/account on both so...
