I have Performancing for Firefox 1.5.0.2 set up on a PC at work and now need to move to another PC. How can I transfer my drafts (i.e., notes) to the new PC? I haven't been able to find the location Performancing saves notes to my harddrive.
I don't use Performancing (and besides that the Plugin is now Scribefire and doesn't belong to Performancing anymore), but FEBE (Firefox Extensions Backup Extension could help you.
Grab the extension here go into the options and first set the export folder in the settings.
Then check entire profile (or something alike, I was too lazy to open FEBE) and perform a backup.
Now on your new computer you must create a new user profile in Firefox (it won't work with the active profile, howto here) and import the saved profile here.
That's the theory. Haven't done it tho since I use roaming (or shadow copies of them when not in a network) profiles where ever I am, hence always keep my settings.
Another option might be to use Portable Firefox (Firefox on a stick, keeps all your settings on the portable media and avoids your problem)
Same problem, transferring notes from my XP PC to my Vista PC
Did you get an answer?
Try FEBE
