Timing wrong with PFF 1.1.1

Using PFF 1.1.1 I have found that posts to my WordPress blog have 8 hours taken off the posting time (a 10:17am post is reported as 2:17am). This only happens in PFF, as a post from the WP interface results in the correct time being displayed. Time zone in WP is set as GMT -8 (Pacific time).

Has anyone else encountered this issue? There doesn't appear to be a way to set a time zone in PFF.

Thanks,
Rod

time stamp wrong and technorati tags

same happened to me, wondered if this is a bug in the extension. All 8 hours shifted. I don't have this problem trying other similar stuffs such as w.bloggar and ecto? I hope a fix is forthcoming otherwise I'll have to switch.

Also tags are inserted into the body. I think a selection should be available to put tags in body, extended, keyword or excerpt like other application, e.g. ecto!

I like firefox and like to stay with PFF!

We had that issue before ...

Try a search (on the right in the sidebar) for timezone or timeshift.

Timezone, timing etc

OK, noted, I got to wait but I'll continue using because it's convenient as long as I stay with FF.

Interesting, I'll look into

Interesting, I'll look into the bug.
Do you mean 8 hours shifted from your local machines time or the server on which your blog is hosted time?

timezone shift & trackback

It's 8 hours from my local time. I saw from this forum that I'm not alone on this. Found this out because after my first test post from PFF I posted 2 more using other methods then I saw later ones were placed ahead of my first test post from PFF!

BTW trackback doesn't appear work either.

Further test on this done

I've been using ecto (desktop app blogging tool) in parallel with PFF 1.1.1. The most important bugs that must be fixed for PFF appear to be timing issue and trackback which bloggers will find these very annoying if not fixed soon.

I have last week installed wordpress in a local machine running on apache for windows, php5 and MySql. This is local machine without connecting to the internet, i.e. just off http://localhost/ The timing of the blog post is STILL WRONG by using PFF to send test post.

This proves that it's a internal bug of the extension that has nothing to do with remote servers of the blog or anything else.

sfong15: Thanks, I'll make

sfong15: Thanks, I'll make sure that it is fixed in the 1.2 release, would you mind PM'ing me so I can send you a test build?

I also found the trackback bug which has also been fixed.

Thanks so much for your feedback.
