KDKB,
You should have a new icon in the formatting toolbar, you can see a screenshot of it here (scroll down to the bottom of the page):

myspace editor
Hey Jed,
I have done as you said and I also reinstalled the editor and went back to the simple firefox theme for my browser. I has not changed. The myspace button is on the left under Add ons but when I slick on it it just tells me that the editor is not in any way a part of myspace, blah, blah, blah...any suggestions? Thnaks for your quick reply BTW!
KDKB, so you don't see the
KDKB, so you don't see the icon in the formatting toolbar?
Hmm, are you sure you are using the latest version of PFF (1.3)?
I found it!!
Hey there Jed,
No, I did NOT see the icon in the formatting bar and YES I was using the latest version. HOWEVER...I did find it. Apparently, there are double arrows on the top left corner and when I clicked on them, by accident, the myspace icon revealed itself on the formatting bar! You might want to note that in the directions for the editor for others, they're very easy to miss. Anyway, it's working now without flaw! In fact, I published a blog to myspace to let everyone know about it AND the Firefox browser, which I am quite pleased with!
So "Thank you very much" for your time and keep doing great things!
Peace,
Kristy
Unable to post in myspace
I set up performancing and the myspace plugin as per the instructins provided and I see the icon and it seems to work until I click on Publish to: Myspace and I get an error message telling me to "please select a blog before trying to publish!". I configure it to log into myspace and when I click on the view this blog link my myspace blog comes up. Any suggestions on how to proceed? Thanks!
tsktsktks: Thanks for
tsktsktks: Thanks for commenting. Do you have any other blogs loaded in pff? Or is myspace the only one?
There seems to be some issues with the myspace add-on, I'll work on a fix asap. If you'd like, pm me with your email address and when I have a new build you can test I will send it your way.
Cheers
resolved issue/ discovered compatibility issue
I figured out why I was having a problem. I had a myspace toolbar extension installed and it interfered with the myspace add on. There are three different myspace toolbar extensions and two of them work with the myspace add on.
The two that have no problem with the myspace add on are located at:
myspacebar 0.1.5.1 (http://myspacebar.mozdev.org/)
(unofficial) MySpace Toolbar (http://www.freewebs.com/myspacetoolbar/)
Both of these can be found through addons.mozilla.org but those sites are the main sites and are probably updated sooner. The biggest difference between these two is that the (unofficial) Myspace toolbar has an autologin feature and the other one doesn't at this time.
Now the bad extension isn't listed at Mozilla addons per se, but it is listed in the comments of myspacebar 0.1.5.1 as a better alternative to that extension because it is supposed to show you new mail and comments so you don't have to click on the links and go to the page. Well it didn't show me new messages coming in and kept falsely identifying friend requests as new mail which became annoying. This should probably be listed as incompatible with the Myspace add on to keep other people from making the same mistake I made. It can be found here:
myspacebar.com
The two toolbar extensions link to the myspace blog and have "post blog" buttons but for some reason the text box stopped coming up in Firefox for me(even in safe mode with no extensions running) so outside of pff with the myspace add on the only other option I had to enter blog entries was to use IE and that really isn't an option.
Thanks for responding to my earlier post!
I am having the same problems
I don't know whats happened.
I keep getting the thing that asks for me to input a blog as the only one I am setting up is myspace...
So what can I do?
Should I set up a second blog account and then allow it to post to both?
No, if you can, wait a few

Myspace addon
I use wordpress, but my wife uses myspace - performancing works fione with my account, but as yet i have been unable to get performancing to work with her myspace account - and i do have the myspace addon - I can set up the addon, but am unable to set up the blog account for myspace within performancing itself. Your webcast on instructions regarding the myspace extensions and add-ons does not work in my browsers Microsoft Internet explorer or Firefox doesn’t work. I successfully installed the myspace add-on. I love your user interface. However, I need step by step instructions on how to add a my myspace blog using your wizzard or how to do it manually.

*beating my head against the wall*
I know you have heard this about 10 million times, but I'm going to ask again bc I have yet to actually find the answer.
I know how to get to safe mode by changing the URL from groups to profile. HOWEVER, when I am in safe mode and I select the EDIT button, it takes me to a grey screen. It only happens on the page that has the headline, about me section... etc. I can delete comments and change picture titles in safe mode. I just can't get past the grey screen and it's beating me down!
PLEASE help. I learn quickly, but need some good advice here... I'm stumped!

Could you clarify for me :( Sorry!
Unable to post comment on friends' myspace pages
I am unable to post comments on my friends' myspace pages. I have been added as their friend, which myspace told me was the problem. Anyway, when I click on "add a comment" it takes me to the page to add a comment with the box to type the comment in, but I don't get a cursor so I can type anything.
Anyone had this problem and/or know how to fix it?
Thanks
Not sure what you mean? Does
Not sure what you mean? Does his have anything to do with PFF, or a general myspace question?
The myspace add-on only allows you to add a post from pff to your myspace blog, not to comments.
Missing Publish to MySpace button
I'm using PFF (Scribefire 1.4.2) and have installed the MySpace AddOn. I enabled the Addon from the Settings section and I see the button to toggle MySpace mode on and off next to Publishing/Close Options. I appear to be logging in ok, but when I'm ready to post, I only see the regular Publish button, not the Publish to MySpace button. When I do click the Publish button, I simply get a message to please select a blog before trying to publish. Have I completely missed a step here?
This is what I see when I'm ready to publish:
GRRRRRRR
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
ah HA!!!! Ok, the AddOn does
ah HA!!!! Ok, the AddOn does NOT work with Scribefire 1.4.2. I had to hunt down version 1.3 of Performancing to get the Post to MySpace button to show up.
FF3?
Are you going to update the myspace add on for Firefox 3? While I occassionally blog at blogger and livejournal, most of my blogging is done at myspace.
