Blogger and Performancing Issues Not Being Resolved

I've been trying to use PerFormancing for a Blogger account for several months now, using many suggestions from this forum, without success. The account wizard, no matter what path through it that I follow, fails at logging in. Many of the threads I read bear no resemblance to what I see on my screen. I'm using PerFormancing 1.3.5 and Firefox 2.0.

Here is what happens:

1. Start PerFormancing in FF.
2. Click the Add button. The PerFormancing Account Wizard dialog appears.
3. Type hppt://vtadriversroom.blogspot.com/ into the text box on the first screen and click Check URL.

The wizard correctly detects that my blog is a Blogger blog and places http://vtadriversroom.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default into the Server API URL text box. Originally, my blog was created under the old Blogger system, but I have since converted it (today) to the new Blogger system. It didn't work with PerFormancing under the old system either.

4. I click the Next button. I type my new username (email address), which works when logging in at Blogger's web site, and password, which also works at Blogger's web site, and click the Next button.

An Alert dialog appears which says, "Error, please check your username and password You user name might be your google user name" If you think I mistyped the previous quote, I didn't. It really DOES say "YOU username might be your google user name" and there really is no period between the first sentence and the second and no period at the end of the second sentence. And no, Google is not capitalized there either.

Going back to step 3, if I click the Manually Configure button instead of the Check URL button, I get a dropdown menu where I can:

4. Select Custom Blog from the choices it presents and click the Next button.
5. Select Blogger from the dropdown blog system type list.
6. Replace BLOGNAME with vtadriversroom in the Server API URL text box and click the Next button.

This time, the API URL is http://vtadriversroom.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full, the difference being that the first path through the wizard places 'default' at the end of the url and this path through the dialog places 'full' at the end of the url.

At this point I should add that several posts on this forum have suggested adding my blog ID number to this url, and even to url's that don't look anything like what actually appears in this dialog, to get PerFormancing to properly log in to my Blogger account. This simply does not work, whether I use the url that has 'default' in it or the one that has 'full' in it, or even if I completely change the url to ones I've seen in forum posts.

7. Add my new Google username (full email address) and password into the Username and Password text boxes and click the Next button.

At this point I'm back to the same point I was at when taking the first path through the wizard. The Alert dialog appears that tells me "You username might by your google user name". Ya think? I even tried using my old Blogger username. This doesn't work, either. Nor did it work in PerFormancing before converting my blog to the new Blogger system.

These issues have been happening for several months without a solid solution that works for everyone, as many posts on this forum confirm.

Will there be a solution to this problem? Do I need to dump PerFormancing for a more compatible tool? I think several months of waiting and of trying several solutions without success is more than long enough. The version notes on https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1730/ state "Blogger and Blogger Beta support along with many bug fixes. See: http://performancing.com/node/5234 for release information." When I go to that url I find this: "2) Fixed Blogger support. This release now works with both normal and Beta blogger accounts." That just simply is NOT TRUE.
