Looks interesting but I just

Looks interesting but I just can't see myself moving away from wordpress and drupal which I know so well now. And then there are all those hosting control panels with the one click installs, they face an uphill struggle to say the least.

Update: 4.0.3 -> 4.0.4

Absolutely no problem. I did the update yesterday and it took me five minutes.

Backup before proceeding!

  1. Download and saved the update as txp404.tgz
  2. Logged out from the TXP admin account
  3. Unzipped it to a new folder
  4. Copied all files to my Textpattern root folder overwriting the old files
  5. Logged in to my TXP admin account
  6. Updated the language package (that option showed up automatically).
  7. Run diagnostics just to see that everything is fine.
  8. Checked the website.

Bingo! Everything is fine. Every plugin is working.

Compliments to the Textpattern team!

The main reason to check Textpattern from a bloggers view are the sections. Sections give you the ability to structure your blog content in 2nd level 'folders'.

There are loads of nice conditional if/else statements (tags) available to create several dynamic or static pages.

Textpattern looks like a blog system but it is indeed a great CMS system!

Drupal is a different league!
