I submitted my site to Yahoo Publisher Network three weeks ago. Finally, today, I got some sort of acknowledgement, but still no answer:
Thank you for applying for the Yahoo! Publisher Network beta program. It is currently in beta and we are accepting a very limited number of new publishers, but we will let you know when we launch to the general public or if we are able to invite you to join the beta before then. To maximize your chances for approval, please make sure:
You have a valid U.S. Social Security or Tax ID number, and web site content that is predominately in English and targeted at a U.S. user base.
Your site provides a good user experience. Please see our complete list of guidelines for a positive user experience here:
https://publisher.yahoo.com/legal/prog_policy.php.
Your site does not contain problematic content. Please see our guidelines for displaying our ad results here:
https://publisher.yahoo.com/legal/prog_policy.php.
Thanks again for your interest. We look forward to welcoming you into our program when it is open to the public.
Sincerely,
The Yahoo! Publisher Network Team

well...
A) It should have been 3 days, not 3 weeks. That sort of time frame doesn't say a lot about 'customer focus', and without even using YPN it makes me wonder if YPN is any good or not.
B) How long have they been in beta? Get the frackin' product out in the market and 'then' fix it (Ready, Fire, Aim, or some variation of that).
C) Do they have invites? As in - someone who already has a YPN account can invite upto 5 members, or something like that? If not, then what's the point of a closed beta that's been closed (and in beta) for many months?
stupidity
The whole thing about forcing publishers to not serve ads to non-American viewers is ridiculous. Not every blogger knows how to do this. I see YPN ads all the time, though it may have something to do with my cable company's setup, because my IP sometimes shows as being in the US (no city though)
