Have a collection of domains, now what?

PerformancingAds

I've owned a few domains for some time now and I'm trying to figure out what's best for them.

I have a few set to sedo parking service but I'm thinking about setting up blogs on them to try to get hits and ad $ then sell the whole package 6-8 months from now for $2-3k

Here they are, let me know if you think any are better than others, thanks

interseting.com
karmatip.com
wheresyourbeer.com
kentuckyjelly.com (...think about it)
buyi57.com (myi57.com sells i57 diet pills, I had an affiliate site running here for a minute)
bii57.com
DIYComedy.com (I plan on making my personal blog here and would like advice on what ad services are best)

Any help would be great. Basically I'm trying to decide to just sell the domain or invest time on making a blog for a bigger payday later.

Thanks,
Brad

hmm

Hmm, very interseting :) I like some of these, but i don't get kentuckyjelly.com

What's the abbreviation for

What's the abbreviation for Kentucky? heheh

I signed up for web hosting today thru yahoo so I'm going to be working on a single start page for each of these domains soon.

IDEAS:
interseting.com: 'just shy of interesting' ...youtube/digg/delicious links

wheresyourbeer.com: already have a cafepress store setup there..might start making more alcohol related shirts/logo's/items

DIYComedy.com: my passion site, I'll be working on this one as my main hobby, using the others to make $.

Just bought: ThePokerKnight.com
Plan: start a blog with poker news/links and post as The Poker Knight...maybe post a few "ask a ninja" style vidoes, we'll see. Put 7-8 TLA's on the main page, along with affiliate links from poker sites & poker mag's, amazon for poker books. I know a lot about poker so this should be fun.

What's the cheapest place to buy new .com's? Thanks again

hilarious

very subtle, ver funny :)

Damn! Ask the Poker Ninja. What can you do with a Queen/ Jack offsuit?

Cheapest? I like digitalpoint forums and sitepoint:

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/
http://www.sitepoint.com/marketplace/

There's Lee Dodd's Earner's Forum, but I haven't bought there yet.
http://www.earnersforum.com/marketplace/

I meant the cheapest to

I meant the cheapest to register a .com...those are good too though, thanks

a couple

GoDaddy has a domain club and a reseller club, but you have to pay U$89-99/yr for the privilege. They also have $0.99 .info for new ones for the first year.

Namecheap.com has $8.88 .com's, compared to GoDaddy's regular $8.99 (I think, though they have many specials). But if you want, say, .tv, GoDaddy charges $39.99/yr and Namecheap charges $25.

So I setup my webspace but

So I setup my webspace but TLA won't accept me because I have no hits...so just start blogging to get traffic? What about sites that are just a static page of ads, no blog?

thepokerjoker.com is an example I'm looking at for thepokerknight.com

Any ideas? Thanks again

well

I think thejokerpoker.com is probably selling ads directly, as part of a directory listing. I didn't look deeply into the URLs though. You could try that, though you'll still need some PR or traffic or both first. Or you could parking your domains at sedoparking.com or somewhere else. (Even though I have domains registered at GoDaddy. I don't use them for parking because they charge money for it.)

Here are a few options: (not all, of course)

(1) Park the domain
(2) Redirect traffic from elsewhere then build a directory
(3) Build a static mini-site with ads
(4) Start a blog

There are, of course, other options.
