Hello,

Just thought that i would make you all aware that this is my first post so be nice!

Ok here we go.

Recently i have been on a link building campaign for a blog. After about 1 month i checked the backlinks in google and this particular one didn't show.. So i took a deeper look.

In the websites robot.txt file

User-agent: *
Disallow: /links/

This is what I take from this, they dont want google to index the links folder which will host the links page.

Would the be any benifit in doing this would google not register them as backlink and give them more weight?

Thanks for any advice..

I'm assuming this site

I'm assuming this site exchanges reciprocal links? In that case they're getting the advantages of one-way links but not giving anything back. They're benefiting, the sites linking to them are not.

Many Thanks

Thank you Ahmend, I think i might have to play them at thier own game! Thanks again for your swift response.
