Ok - I have my first podcast ready to go. I have created the rss feeds for it and will put it on itunes. It is an interview with the Dogster CEO.

I was also going to post it on my site with a mp3 download. It would be great to be able to track these downloads/plays. You can play it on my site too.

Any ideas on how to do this? Also, any ideas on promotion of the podcast?

Thanks,
Allen

Tracking: What about

Tracking: What about FeedBurner?

Promotion: Standard procedure like with any other article plus some podcast directory entries? Also FeedBurner should help.

If you are using wordpress,

If you are using wordpress, there is a plugin called Podpress which has been updated in the past couple of months or so, so that it can now track the number of downloads and plays. The good thing is that you don't need to modify any templates or anything for it to work.
