I am hearing alot more about websites and blogs creating a plan for their success, most particularly, a marketing plan. Did you, or are you, creating a marketing plan for your blog or website? If so, what does it consist of and how has it been working? How do you plan on using it?

I'll second James.

A good plan is second to none. At least if you think about it and try to guide yourself through the process you can't shoot youself in the foot later for saying 'why didn't I consider that'... Or at least not as much as just sitting down to it. Though I understand we all have our approaches, but a considered one is surely always good?

Marketing your blog

Understand first what you want your blog to market? Choose a good niche which doesn't get much attention from other entrepreneur out there but still can attract visitors interest, an interesting niche to be exact. Check Adwords or keywords for your blog so you would know whats best way to entice your visitors.
