Recently , i got myself landed on www.pingoat.com's site , to manually ping my blog .
its here that i noted the "tools" , section containing many nice tools for webmasters .
One tool that caught my eye was "Spider Simulator" .
This tool actually , simulated the spider crawl and performs an important , weighting onto your blog .
IT GIVES the PERCENTAGE of HTML vs CONTENT .
We all know , that More content , is more power and more food to search spiders .
Holly Molly , my blog , www.rani-mukharji.com/wordpress/ , performed DAMN Bad , at the tool .
It had only 12% content and remaining 78 % HTML .
That must be really bad .
Asusual , i tested the tool with some popular sites and blogs i visit daily , and i got a lotta info on why certain sites Acutally , Rock on search engines.

Amazingly , it had 42% content to 58% HTML . But his blog is so eyecatching , apart from those Gingles and bells .
I think this is one of the important reasons that he ranks high .
And our friend Problogger , had 27% content .

Actually that's not really correct. Seth ranks high becuase of this and this among other things like the quality of those links and a ton of other off-page factors.
It used to be that with low competition keywords content/code ratio was something that could get you ahead (allegedly) but for the most part, it's still all about links...

We all know , seth is hugely popular , and his links are his powers to rank high .
But what about newbie's starting from scratch .
Doesnt this help them , to rank better ?
