I've just recently started blogging. Previously, I would post things for my friends on social networks like Facebook and Myspace, and was always curious about starting up a blog of my own; it seemed like a natural extension of what I already did. I decided to take the jump a few months ago and started MumboJumboDaily.com. It's something I'd like to do professionally, so I've been pouring a lot of time into it to attract readers and subscribers, hopefully by producing compelling content. It also led to a job for me at another blog, thehottestgadgets.com, where I've just completed my first month as a contributor there. Oh, and to answer the question, I try to put in at least 4 hours a day, usually 6, but sometimes end up putting in as much as 9 or 10! Hey, what can I say? I really enjoy writing.

I have about 4 blogs I am starting up at the moment and probably spend about 10 – 15 mins on each. But with background reading and what-not that becomes more like 2 hours.

I’ve recently become far stricter on my blogging/social networking time. It’s led to a significant increase in productivity and interest, because I’m far more focused on what I’m doing during those limited periods.

So as a I result I spend a maximum of 45 minutes writing and publishing blog articles (though obviously I’m randomly thinking of topics and concepts at other times). I spend about another hour and a half commenting on other blogs, submitting to social networking sites, etc. I use a stopwatch.

Well, if blogging means actually writing something, I spend 2-4 hours blogging. The rest of the time is reserved for communication and RSS feed reading as well as browsing around for stories or inspiration.

6-8 hours for me.

Definitely an addictive thing, but I am full-time now just scraping by.
