Performancing Metrics reporting very low numbers for Dec. 18

Good afternoon:

I use a variety of traffic counters, including the free version of Performancing Metrics on my blog. These counters rarely agree, there is an apparent time delay so each one reports "real time" differently. PMetrics tends to report the soonest, so the numbers from pMetrics are usually slightly higher.

Today, I was surprised that my traffic numbers seemed very low in pMetrics. When I compared it to the other counters, the pMetrics numbers were less than half of what I was seeing on the other counter reports. (The other reports are fairly typical, the pMetrics results indicate a huge drop in visitors.) Even my Feedburner visitor stats, which are typically about 20 to 30 percent lower than my pMetrics stats, are almost twice what pMetrics is reporting.

I'm not overly concerned -- there is probably some glitch that is causing pMetrics to report inaccurate totals. I'm sure Performancing will figure it out and correct it.

Still, I wanted to report the problem so that Performancing is aware that there is an apparent glitch. I'm not complaining, but unless users speak up, Performancing might not realize the results for some users are not accurate.

Thanks for a great product! I am confident you will find and correct the issue soon.

Regards;

There was some extremely serious issues with some other processes running on the same server. The service is being transferred to another server as I type this. More info here: http://performancing.com/p-metrics/pmetrics-server-move-will-happen-wednesday-12-19
