Apart from the normal Forum Guidelines, please note one important addition for this particular forum:

We do not want to teach basic PHP / ASP / [Insert fave lang] here. There are lots of good places for that already

"Noise" posts will be removed unceremoniously and the perpetrator flogged senseless with a knotted rope.

What I spend a lot of my days doing is deleting "this is a test" posts or comments, that would be an example of "noise". People asking us to teach them PHP or write their software for them. Anything not on the topic of the Performancing Metric API will probably be considered noise. Fairly standard stuff.
