Two Word Phrases Like "Hip Hop" Are Still Conquerable

I'm convinced that two word phrases are still conquerable on the webosphere.

In fact, I know that they are. I've conquered a few lately, with minimal effort. Just a friend or two later and you're on the front page.

The terms I've conquered have only had about 2 million results of competition. Not bad, but not a huge achievement.

I've decided to experiment by going after a term with 84 million results.

Now, under normal circumstances, out of the blue, it wouldn't be doable. Not front page. Not with 84 million competitors.

But I'm not trying to game the system. Nah...

I have a blog in the HipHop niche that I believe is showing up way, way too far down in the SERP results for a search on hip-hop. I mean, for God's sake, it's not like I'm starting a spammy WordPress or Blogger blog and going for artificial manipulation. Nope. I own a top-tier blog in the hip hop niche and I'm going to try to get it positioned in the SERPS where I feel it belongs.

And that's what you should do too. Build a solid property. And then do the work necessary to make it show up on the front page for its appropriate 2 word descriptive phrase.

It would be a fascinating

It would be a fascinating case study to chart the progress of this project.

what about

What about the variations:

hiphop
hip-hop

Hip Hop is meant today the

Hip Hop is meant today the music industry of "rappers". Hip Hop is basically the same as Rap which deals with money, hoes, and drugs. Bad idea if you want to start a business website with those 2 words.
