I was approached by crispads (an alternative text and graphics ad program) a few months ago, telling me that they had advertisers interested in placing some inventory and that they wanted one of my blogs to participate.
I was intrigued and promised myself that I should give them a fair crack of the whip. As busy people tend to do, I made this promise to myself and didn’t do anything about it. So when I read a rather positive snippet from Kathy Shaidle on relapsed catholic covering her Crispad experiences, it rekindled my intentions to give them a whirl. There is the heavy whiff of a referral pitch about her post, but nonetheless I have listed some of her main points:
1. Crispads allow you to target ad keywords.
2. You get paid a flat $0.20 per click.
3. Crispads make paypal deposits over and above $5.
4. Simple user interface.
5. Responsive support.
6. Optional graphical ads in which Crispads will find you advertisers. You then name your price.
As part of various research I'm undertaking - Crispads is on my list to look into, as will be most of Nick’s A to Z of Ad Programs. I'll be reporting back with my views in due course, but in the mean time let me know about your experiences with Crispads?

CrispAds no longer paying or responding
I'm not sure if this is the best place to report it, but CrispAds has not been paying under their terms for a while now. I've attempted to get in touch with them, and blogged about the issue (normally they check out all links to their site). I know the payment terms are no longer what's stated on their FAQ, which means publishers are operating blind.
It may be that they have every intention of paying, but are lousy at communicating rules and procedures to us - or it may be there's a problem we should all be concerned about.
I have removed their links from my sites, and am starting to doubt I will ever receive my latest payment due.
