Cellounge Media, LLC is looking for writers of a new tech magazine called cellounge.com. What we are looking for is writers who have a passion for the subject that they are writing in! We need creative people who are "go getters", are creative and can find the stories that will bring readers in! please clarify a few items
Hi,
Can you please clarify this a bit further, for anyone who might be interested and doesn't understand:
Exactly what advertising do you share with bloggers, and what ads do you keep for yourself? Also, you don't have to reveal it here if you don't want, but will you be able to tell applicants approximately how much they might expect for writing on a particular blog.
About the 1099 form, I assume then that you're only accepting US applicants? Because according to the NAFTA act, for example, you don't require this of Canadian "contractors".
Some details about post length and frequency is a good idea, as well.
thanks,
raj
Cellounge Media
Thanks Raj for the questions!
Here is some clarification, if you live in the US I will send you a 1099 form, otherwise you will not receive any form at all at this time. So Canadians are definitely welcome as are other nationalities!
The revenue share in a nutshell refers to google ads and chitika ads. So if you write on one of cellounge's blogs and the google, and the chitika ads combined made $100.00 then you as a writer would make $60.00, we would get $40.00 (this is just an example). If I sell an ad to Microsoft and they put a 125*125 ad on cellounge.com then I will retain 100% of that money.
At this time the revenue expected is generally up in the air for a particular channel. It all depends on traffic, clicks, and pageviews to the blog you write on. All blogs are tracked by channels from google, and chitika. Of course according to TOS from google and chitika I can not give you exact page impressions or stats like that. However I will be able to provide at a later date a spreadsheet noting the amount each blog has made for the month.
Let me put it to you this way, my Japanese Auto blog more then $600.00 last month alone. So having 62 blogs running at the same time should bring in a significant amount more traffic and money for all writers. Remember you can apply to write for more then one channel at a time. We are looking to get into the million page view range in about a year with cellounge. So come join the us and start making money.
One last thing when a visitor visits cellounge.com the front page is a blog itself that aggregates all the posts of all the other blogs in the magazine. What does this do for you, well when someone visits the front page they see an article that you wrote that they like and they click on that article they will be taken to your blog. The front page is like a network portal for all the other blogs. The whole system is going to be like CNET, but with revenue share.
Thanks for the questions,
Shane Coffey
