still title is broken....

my plain text post went well this morning well try some others.

Everything is posting good for me today. My html morale o meter links worked
and my photos linked and buttons posted and titles posted. The slideshows didn't go thru but one of my blogs doesn't support slideshows from slide and i'm thinking its blogger.
Everything posted. If it didn't its is because I don't know html well enough to close the links and validate.

It can't identify the one new blog I created through blogger beta (can't seem to figure out the feed), though the ones I converted from old blogger to the new work fine. Can't manually configure this blog into PFF because blogger doesn't appear as a blog type option when I try.

Other than that, everything seems to be working.

Scoshi, could you post your URL here (or PM me) so I can look at why autodetect doesn't work (and supply you with a solution).

The titles on by Blogger Beta blog are not showing up. They work for my other blogs/journals though.

Works great for me. Had to do nothing other than restart firefox. All my info from previous setup was retained.

PFF works well for me on Blogger Beta. The one thing I would still like to see is to have the list of categories (Blogger Beta "labels") retrieved from the blog. I know I sound like a broken record on this, but I would like to know if this is possible. I would rather not have to browse to my blog's front page to see the list of categories that I already have used. To have that list on the Categories tab of PFF would be most cool. That said, I love this add-on. Good work, Jed!

ptglidden: I totally agree, but haven't been able to find any reference to an API at blogger.com to access this.

We'll have to hit them up for that sometime, perhaps after the new Blogger is out of beta and things settle down over there. I'm sure things are a little chaotic over there at the moment, since they're trying to roll out the new Blogger and keep the dying old system up in the meantime. The old system is on its last legs, judging from the traffic on the Blogger Help groups.

I Can see that when the blog is re entried to BLOGGER BETA blog .
The title gets messed up with the blog entry .And the blog entry loses first 10 or 15 characters .And the original title gets lost.

And also i found another issue..when the the blog entry is re entried to BETA with technorati tags.The blog is not updated with technorati tags.

I will try to reproduce the same many times and will give u more info .

Do you mean if you edit a history post and then hit 'publish as edit' it doesn't actually edit it?

So both of these are for Blogger blogs that have been converted to Blogger Beta?

Actually Jed it's when I do a first time post. I just re added my blog and tested it and it seems to work now.

Yeah it was history post and i tried to "PUbLISH AS EDIT "...

Both the posts are to same blog which where converted from old blogger to BLOGGER BETA version .

But anyways i willtry to experiment again and let u know the results .

Uploaded a new build
1.3.5beta3rev2

Fixed an issue with the Auto-Detect wizard for blogger and fixed a potential Spellcheck error.

Well your keeping me busy..... off I go to test

I upgraded, still has .blogspot.com/feeds/posts/full during setup.
But I was able to recreate my account in that manner. The set up is still manual. At the beginning of set up it doesnt recognize my blog url so I go custom...etc

Also in the about it still says 1.3b3 not sure if that matters or not.

With the older version I had issues posting to blogger: I could only post to blogger from PFF if I was logged in to blogger with firefox. With the new release it works without logging into blogger, great!

I'm going to wait a few more days before release. What to make sure that last change will not affect PFF before we go gold.
That also gives me a few Content and Title corruption bugs to track down.

Let me know if you see anything odd happen to PFF and your blogger acount over the next few days. I don't anticipate this change to affect pff, but then again you never know :)

Most likely, if not done right it will cause issue with editing old posts.

The latest PFF build works fine!

Two minor quirks, though:

1) I like to quote news stories in my posts, and in earlier versions PFF the title of the page was automagically inserted as the title of the post, This doesn't happen anymore, but no problem, I prefer to use my own titles.

2) When I quote news stories, the <blockquote>. . .</blockquote> does not close the quote--the last right arrow is missing. Not a major problem, just a quirk.

No deal-breakers, the extension works very well.

I also see that blogger is about to or has implemented the option to use ftp.

I installed my blog at Blogger (beta) on the blogspot and on ftp.
I can't publish on both and the content of the postings isn't displayed right: words, sentences and letters are missing.
WordPress is no problem.
Blogs of the old blogger show the old problems with the api.
The first beta functioned even better as this one...

@Arne: Can you make sure you re-add your blogger blogs? That should fix it.

Last week we added FTP publishing to the new Blogger in beta. Today we’re letting you switch your FTP-publishing blog from the current Blogger to the new Blogger in beta. If you’re eligible to switch your account (see restrictions), you’ll see a message on your Dashboard inviting you to do so.

As with everything else on the new version of Blogger, we expect that FTP publishing will be more reliable than it is on current Blogger. Nevertheless, there many variables in external publishing that are out of our control, so we can’t guarantee that Blogger will publish flawlessly to every hosting provider.

We can say that we’ve tested the new version’s FTP publishing with the four most popular hosting providers from current Blogger, and it works fine. In particular, we’ve worked with Your-Site to ensure that the recent publishing problems between current Blogger and their service are not present with the new version of Blogger.

We do recommend that, before you switch, you create an account on the new version of Blogger by signing in with a Google Account at http://beta.blogger.com/. Try creating a test blog there and verifying that it can publish to your hosting provider. You can then switch your current Blogger blog to this Google Account. Or, just ask around on the Blogger Help Group to find out if other people have had success publishing to your particular hosting provider.

I download the dev and from what I can tell there has been no change to my PFF interface at all. Am I missing something?

Also, from reading the comments thread, its looks as if the major changes are for blogger blogs. I was under the impression that this would help me add tags to a moveable type blog.

@hamilsizzle, you are correct. The 1.3.5 release (in beta) is mainly a few bug fixes and improved Blogger.com support.

1.4 Will have all the new stuff.

Just updated the beta to rev 3.
This fixes the id changes blogger made on friday so it should work and still be backwards compatible.

This really should be it unless anyone finds any other issues :)

Hola,
I cant seem to post a Picasa Album or embeddable player from PFF. It works perfectly for text only posts. I keep getting a prompt saying that PFF was unable to connect with blogger, when I try to post HTML. If posting text only, it works very quickly. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hmm.. could you give an example of the HTML you are trying to post?

no, didn`t function!

The new build makes it possible to see the title and the posting, but I can't edit it and I can't post new postings!
But this is only for blogger beta AND hosting on my own webspace via ftp!
The blog hosted on blogspot functions most excellent!
And, yes, I re-added my blogger blogs...

yeah i got the beta3rev3 but now i still cant login without an error in my username or password or whatever. i get a big alert message talking about XML and it displays some script about members and falultstring and yeah... sucky. i really want to work this on my msn blog. if you want my spaces address by all means please let me know and ill be glad to assist. thanks again for your time and keep it up, gents.

superdave: That does suck, so it used to work and now stopped? Spaces support shouldn't have changed at all. Any possibility for you to send me a screenshot?

Using the latest dev and I still can not use PFF to post to blogger beta. I'm getting all the errors, and I've tried all the ways to fix it as per the suggestions in other threads and nothing works. Please tell me there will be another release to fix the bugs?

It's working as long as it's only text. If I try to add a picture or a link, it gives me an error and won't publish.

And now it seems to work again. Made a post and had an image and more than five lines and it posted to Blogger Beta, soooooo it looks like it's a go for now.

I have 1 blog set up with PFF .. i am using wordpress 2.0.5 and the latest version of PFF. The wordpress is a brand new install with no modifications.

Pff logs in to my wordpress and gets all the data, like categories and history and so on, but I an unable to type anything in the text area. If i highlight something and click on 'blog this' , it will copy+paste into the text area, but from that point I cannot do anything at all inside the text area., i am locked out.

any suggestions please?
