MySpace PFF Addon 0.3alphaAs promissed in the MySpace Alpha thread,
I've just uploaded the new 0.3 alpha with the following enhancements:
- View Blog and Publish To is now part of the default PFF buttons. When Myspace mode is enabled the button will be Orange instead of blue
- If you have 'Insert powered by Performancing' enabled, the plugin will check to make sure it doesn't already exist in your post before adding it. (The next version of pff will do this as well)
- It should now time out after a few minutes if myspace doesn't respond and will notify you. (this needs testing)
- 12:30 Noon was understood by the plugin as 12:30AM, this has been fixed.
- The MySpace Toolbar button now shows it's toggled state for easier identification if the mode is enabled or not.
- It will now alert you if you try and post to myspace without a Title (myspace won't allow this).
These were all suggestions made by you testers, so if you have any more suggestions or issues, please post back and we'll try and make it happen.
Specifically I need you all to make sure that toggling back and forth between normal blogs and myspace works and is intuitive.
Thank you everyone who has taken time to test the first version and those who plan to test this one.
Update: I've re-uploaded the 0.3 build (now called pffmyspace_0.3alpha_rev1.xpi pffmyspace_0.3alpha_rev2.xpi), I noticed the first build had a small issue where switching out of myspace mode didn't always revert to your selected blog.
Update 2: I've created a quick ScreenCast for Installing and using the MySpace Addon.
Feedback most appreciated, even if you think it's terrible and useless.
Update 3: With a bit of insomnia, I went ahead and fixed a few spelling issues and added the MySpace Emotion Icons to the 'More Options' new build is now rev2.

love it
I love the new version... switching between myspace mode and regular mode works perfectly fine. I tested by making essentially the same post to myspace and my normal blog. The one thing I will say is that the "mood" selector really shouldn't be in more options, to be honest. I'd almost like to say you should flip flop them and have the option to change date/time in "more options" and the diable comments, privacy and mood in the regular options. Obviously our opinions may differ but I do believe that the average myspace blog poster is more likely to need to change the latter options than the former. I could be wrong, though.

Good point. I wonder how we can find out what the most used features are? As for the date, I would rather have it always post the exact time you hit the publish button instead of manually entering it or hitting "Set Current Time", but since the default Myspace new post page was like this, I tried to stay faithful to it.
The only two missing options I see are Emotion icons (Added) and the podcat encloser which I have no idea how to make it work on normal myspace.
Are these two features common? If so, what the hell do you place in the podcast enclosure text box? I tried putting in the url for a mp3 podcast file but didn't see it do anything on my myspace blog.

You need to put in the whole piece of embed code for playing streams / movies if I am correctly.
