Hi everyone,

It's Nick from Performancing.com here with a quick note to let you know about some important changes to your accounts, and our new, free marketplace for the professional blogging community.

Here's what I want to tell you about:

1. Performancing Exchange: http://performancing.com/exchange
2. Changes to your profile
3. Why you got this email, and how to unsubscribe.

**********************************************************************
* Performancing Exchange
* A FREE marketplace for the professional blogging community.
**********************************************************************

After much discussion with members, we are about to launch the Performancing Exchange (http://performancing.com/exchange). The title above pretty much says it all, you should check it out to get the full details, and if you have questions, just reply to this email (give me a few days though..).

The exchange is FREE for now, and has the following broad categories:

* Bloggers for hire
* Bloggers wanted
* Blogs for sale
* Services offered
* Services wanted
* Micellaneous

Posts can be "voted up" by logged in members -- those posts you see that are worthy of greater exposure on the Peformancing homepage, vote for!

I would *greatly appreciate* any help you can offer with getting the word out about this. I think it deserves the exposure...

Exchange is admin'd by Raj Dash and Ahmed Bilal, my thanks to them both

**********************************************************************
* Changes to Your Profile
* Greatly improved profile pages, perfect for showcasing talent.
**********************************************************************

I've completely redone the profile pages for members with the goal of giving you a better opportunity to showcase your skills, your blogs and interests. For a great example of the new profile pages, see Exchange admin Ahmed Bilal's here: http://performancing.com/user/1487

Profiles are viewable from any kind of post you submit on Performancing.com and will soon be searchable by "for hire" aswell.

To edit your profile, login on the right, then go to "my account" and hit the "edit" tab at the top. It's dead easy, but if you have trouble, just reply or post in the forums. (http://performancing.com/forum).

**********************************************************************
* The Performancing Members Announcement List
* A *very* infrequent newsletter exclusive to members
**********************************************************************

I've never sent one of these before, and that demonstrates what i mean by "infrequent". The announcement list is used purely for those few occasions where we make a big change to the site, or services that will either affect your membership, or benefit you in some way.

If you'd rather not even get those though, there is a link to unsubscribe at the bottom of this mail.

**********************************************************************
* Conclusion, and Contacting Me / Getting more Info
**********************************************************************

I've sent this newsletter using my personal email as the From: and you're most welcome to reply to me -- I will answer any questions you have but **please give me a few days** The Performancing membership is well over 20,000 now so it could take me a little while to work through emails if many reply :)

By far the *quickest way* to get answers would be to login and post in this thread though: http://performancing.com/node/3792

If you'd like to blog any of the above, go right ahead -- i'd love it, and appreciate the exposure and help getting word out about Exchange. If you have questions about Exchange specifically, put it in the subject of your email and i'll prioritize them.

Thanks for your time everyone, take care...

Nick Wilson

Duplicate Newsletter Problem

Hello Nick,

Just a quick note to let you know I've been receiving multiple identical duplicates of the same newsletter, sent to the same e-mail address. The count is up to 13 (thirteen) copies right now. I have unsubscribed my e-mail address from the newsletter, but the duplicates keep coming in. Hopefully they'll stop sooner or later.

Giacomo

My sincere apologies for

My sincere apologies for that Giacomo, ther'es a thread here and im busy replying to all those kind enough to reply and let me know..

dupes

Isn't it aweful how SNAFU like that distracts? Details can dominate ... but I guess that's the gods of IA letting us know we aren't engaged in a fiction: real users with real needs and real daily lives.

It takes big shoulders to undertake such a thankless task ... hang in there, Nick.

*beckons violins*
;-)
