Im posting this from the latest version of Performancing Firefox, the #1 blog editor (which just happens to be free! aswell...), and though it's a more subtle update than some others, it's about to introduce a whole new level of power to users, designers and programmers...

Main New Features
- Support for Addons -- PFF can now be extended
- Support for Themes -- If some enterprising blog designer doesn't spot the obvious opportunity here...
- Localization - We have just the one language in so far, Arabic, complete with Right to Left support, but there's much more to follow as we start contacting all the kind folks who've offerend to help -- much more on the tremendous effort of our Arabic partners on general release.
Of course there are a number of bug fixes and stability enhancements, but i'll let Jed talk you through the details when we release in full -- there will also be a number of cool tutorials on how to extend and theme PFF 1.3

For those running Firefox
For those running Firefox 2.0beta1, you can enable spellcheck support by doing the following, however please note that enabling this features might cause breakage in Firefox 2.0beta2 and later versions as the spellcheck code is changing alot right now.
This is mainly for those like myself that really miss spellcheck in PFF on 2.0beta1 :)
1) type "about:config" in the firefox location bar and hit enter (without the quotes)
2) under 'filter' pase in the following (without quotes): "performancing.extra.doSpellCheck"
3) it should say 'false' now, if you double-click on it, it should turn to true.
4) restart firefox and pff should now have spellcheck enabled in the rich-editing.
If you do this, please let me know if it doesn't work for you.
To find where the themes and
To find where the themes and addons are at, go to the settings menu -- you can see the various tabs at the top..
Oh, and i'll be opening up svn read access to the public tomorrow, so those that are interested can keep up with features as they're added, and developers can more easily get at the core code.. (and hopefully contribute..)

prob in OS X
Bug 288047, whose symptoms are well described at

makes this version and prior ones unusable on a Macbook.
I suspect a workaround solution might be to provide an additional option to specify a "Font" for use in the composing window.
It works fine for me under both Windows XP (32 and 64 bit) and Ubuntu Linux 6.06 with all versions of Flock 0.7 and Firefox 1.5 through 3.0.
