Permalink Structure Not Functioning

I used the same Permalink structure for bretboteler.com as I've used to set up three other WordPress blogs (/%postname%/)and this is the first time it hasn't worked.

There are two published posts on this blog right now, and though they appear on the homepage, the titles do not click through to the unique pages as they should. Instead, clicking on either post title leads me to an error which states:

Not Found
The requested URL /preparing-for-the-2007-hurricane-season/ was not found on this server.

This doesn't make any sense to me as I've always used the same custom permalink structure, it's always worked, and I can see the two posts on the homepage. What possible reason could there be for them not creating individual post pages like every other blog?

Thanks for your help

Make sure that your

Make sure that your .htaccess file has been correctly updated. If it is not writable, then WordPress could not make the proper changes and you'll have to edit by hand.

The theme doesn't affect permalink structure. This is an internal WordPress issue which, 99% of the time has to do with your .htaccess file not being updated properly.
