I've seen some blogs giving their readers 'something for the night'.
It is one of the easiest article formats. Let me show you how-to do it...
Why not post some late night articles to entertain readers?
Watching funny videos or listening to good music is something I believe some bloggers do from time to time. Do you? Why not share with your readers? It is so easy to create a series of entertaining videos which then will be published automatically at certain times.
Btw. the article title (and the whole article) was inspired by this hectic up-tempo version of Let's spend the night together performed by David Bowie live in London 7/1973.
Let's check sources and publishing possibilities...
Sources
- Foxytunes
Incredibly useful for my music and media research is foxytunes.com. Just for fun let's check for the famous thin blond Paris Hilton. Please go to the Paris Hilton 'artist' page. I think it is pretty self explaining why this mash up page is a great desktop research source for Paris Hilton compared to i.e. Google.
Don't forget to check the '+ Add widgets' button up right!
- Yamelo - The video time tunnel
Fresh to my attention came today the Yamelo video database. This is a great source to find artists based on the year they were famous. For my desktop this looks like a great starting point before starting the in depth research i.e. at Foxytunes. Yamelo has some weak points like multi-word search so looking for 'Paris Hilton' shows no result while searching for 'Hilton' brings up this video talking about Paris rips off a UB40 song. Another bad mistake is the standard use of a 16:9 ratio instead of the 4:3.
But do you notice the great video cloud and the awesome tag cloud showing famous artist from a specific year? The time line goes back to 1965 which is pretty OK I believe. And here is where the gems are stored. Pure inspiration and good knowledge of some ninja (turtle) search technique moves brings up another great blond girl:
Example research: France Gall (SFW)
This lovely blond girl can be used for many purposes.
You are blogging bad jokes and love some SFW sexual impact: France Gall sings "Les Sucettes" is made for you.
Serge Gainsbourg is hands-down my favorite chain-smoking Frenchman
it took a lot of balls to include such frank sexuality in a song, especially at that time
You are blogging about fashion and hair-dos: Then France Gall. Les Sucettes, super sexy is made for you.
And we had the so called sexual revolution in 1967. Maybe you want to impress with some lengthy intellectual French discussion: France Gall - Les sucettes (révolution sexuelle en chansons)
Last not least for all those fashion and dance bloggers this one is incredible: France Gall. Musique Wait for 1:38 to see the real action happen/start.
Just pay attention to how france gall feels the rythm, pretty crazily actually : each of her bodyparts moves with the beat !!
Don't tell me your readers don't love some fitting entertainment.
Let's spend the night together
Instead of broadcasting all the already well known Top-10 versions I recommend to search for a title and check other versions. A search for Let's spend the night together on YouTube brings up 'about 117' different videos.
Idea: You could do a series of articles on one song
How much time does it take to create a series of five to ten articles which will be delivered automatically every night at 21:00?
I hope you see the possibilities to entertain your audience with some late night entertainment.
