How Many Other People are losing Articles in the Performancing system?

I just wanted to quickly check in with everyone and see if anyone like myself is losing articles in the Performancing system.

Here's the symptom:

  1. You write an article
  2. Publish the Article
  3. The article disappears and never shows up????

I've seen this happen several times over the last few months, and I'm not really sure what is going on. There's no feedback in the loop, so I don't know if the database is dumping the entries all together, if they are hung up and stuck somewhere or what?

As a blogger, the last thing I want to happen is to have content lost or stuck somewhere offline. If its going to get circularly filed in the Performancing system, then I'd prefer to know the end result so that I can publish it elsewhere.

Anyone else see this issue, often, sometimes, one or twice, anything???? :)

Some of my stuff makes it through fine, and some does not. No idea what's going on with that. I've even seen one post get lost while the attached podcast that went with it was published.

Thanks,
Brett

PS I seem to get points for the articles regardless of whether they get lost or not. I like the points, but would rather see the info published.

Any outbound links?

I've had a couple of things that got caught up in the moderation queue and the only common factor was that they had outbound links. I guess it's got something to do with trying to trap all the spam and we get caught up in a filter somehow.

Do you get an "Access denied" message along with your points? That's what happened to me.

Next time it happens, try contacting one of the guys (Ahmed usually ends up rescuing my trapped items) to see if they can find it in the system.

It's a shame because outbound links are important. If it means having to email someone every post, it reduces the chances you will post the content here rather than elsewhere.

I'm taking this opportunity to remind people that only English posts relating to the topics on the home page will be pushed through.
