As with all good public forums, there needs to be some structure, and rules associated with it's smooth running. In order to make these forums as useful as possible to all members, and to help posts keep their value over time, please follow these guidelines when posting.
- Be nice. Personal attacks, or flames are not welcome.
- Stay on topic. Related tangents are great, throwing a thread off track with something unrelated is not.
- Self promotion is not generally welcome. Avoid signatures and taglines or overtly promotional posts. Generally speaking, personal link drops are not cool unless highly relevant to the topic.
- Any edits that need to be made in accordance with these guidelines can be discussed in private with an editor.
- Please leave politics and relegion at the door, you can pick them up on your way out :)
- No whining*
* That means pretty much what it says. We want to have positive conversations, and have members help other members overcome challenges, not general rants and whines.
Personal Links and Examples
Personal links to your blog, really aren't very helpful once the problem is actually solved, so whenever possible, please avoid them. It's more useful to other members if we can talk about issues without examples that will dissappear, or lose relevance with time.
If it *is* absolutely vital to your post, go ahead, but be aware that all such links are scrutinized in order to keep the quality in here high.
Promotion is Baaaaaad!
If you're aim is to promote, please stop now. We simply don't want or need it. Thanks.
If you want to gain recognition as an expert in your subject, then consider using your profile to good advantage
Have Fun
Having got the "rules" out of the way, let's have some fun in here. The Performancing forums are a cool place to hang out with likeminded people and get help and advice, enjoy!
