The photo i'd like down is a Valentines Day photo I saw was blogged thru technorati. I found it being blogged against my permission as I allow no blogging and am allrightsreserved.
Even tho he gives me credit for it, he doesn't do it until you scroll down off the picture.

He blogged it here

How do I go about finding the host to write him to take it down? My good friend "seeks advice" told me about your wonderful site : )
Thanks for your time : )

(we have a bet, she has looked it up, but we want to hear from you first) : )

The Timing is Amazing...

True story, just Thursday I was looking up this company's DMCA information to review in an article on my site. I even still have my notes right here beside me. Just amazing considering that in the past five years, they've been the host of just one or two plagiarists. Considering that I've done over 600 cases, that's hardly a reason to have them on speed dial.

Anyway, according to all of my networking tools, the host is actually Network Solutions. You might remember them as being the Web's oldest domain registrar.

You can find their DMCA policy by going to their homepage at NetworkSolutions dot com and then clicking the "Legal Documents" link which is below the main area and to the right. You may have to search for it. I'd drop you a direct link but sometimes when I do that my posts get flagged as spam and that causes a long delay before they go live. I want you to have this information ASAP.

My stock letter post in this forum has a sample DMCA notice that you can use. If you wish, I can help you draft it but you will probably want to send it on yourself. the email address is dmca at networksolutions dot com.

If you send a DMCA notice there, you'll probably have the works (and possibly the whole site) taken down in a few days. There's something odd about this site in that the subdomain has a blog on it but the main site benrhouma.ne just has a "Be Right Back" message.

Combine that with what looks to be Arabic on a U.S. domain extension and a Western host, and something seems off. Still, all indications are that they are hosted on Network Solutions and Network Solutions does offer this subdomain feature. So it almost certainly is them.

Does that match what you've seen?

: )

That is so strange you were just looking them up !So what do I need to do? : )

Sorry if I wasn't Clear

I thought I'd put all of that information up there, but I must not have.

What you need to do is send a DMCA notice to Network Solutions by emailing dmca at networksolutions dot com.

You can find the stock DMCA notice in the sample letter post in this forum.

Let me know if you have any problems with that!

: )

thanks again : ) got it sent out, waiting for a reply.

thank you !!

they are down ! thank you so much !!!!!!!!

Glad it worked out!

I'll file that one under "Better late than never" and walk away. I'm glad it ended well and you're welcome for the help!

Feel free to post again if there is anything else that I can do!

if u want i will format my pc for you :)
all this problem is about a simple picture .
good job :)

An Important Point

Mossaab: I might not agree with every single licensing decision everyone I work with makes, it is important to remember that photos and other creative works mean a great deal to the people who create them. They are more than just a "simple picture" but a piece of their lives.

Even if you feel it is inconsequential, it might mean a great deal to someone else. That's why one should always obtain permission before using, either through asking or a Creative Commons License.

It's not just good law, but also good manners.

help again please

could you tell me who the host server is for
http://conceptart.org/
and possibly give proof that they are in the usa?
thanks : )

Good Luck

Good luck
