JOB DESCRIPTION Hearing Health Foundation (HHF) is the largest private funder of hearing research, with a mission to prevent and cure hearing loss and tinnitus through groundbreaking research. HHF seeks a versatile and experienced copy-writer and –editor interested in producing accurate, well-written, attention grabbing communications that will take HHF's branding to the next level. The Freelance Marketing Copywriter researches and writes marketing and promotional copy for HHF to be used on HHF's website, brochures, or other marketing/advertising materials.

Schedule is flexible and a candidate that has the ability to work remotely is desired.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guide the creation of quality marketing written communications that promote HHF's research to cure hearing loss and tinnitus.

• Research and write promotional copy for HHF's website, brochures, or other marketing or advertising materials as requested.

• Review and edit existing HHF communications to improve their impact.

• Proofread and maintain copy on HHF's websites, working closely with the Program Administrator, to ensure that information online, including updates on HHF's research, fundraising opportunities, and institutional messaging remain current.

• Assist other HHF staff in their messaging efforts as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to conceptualize and produce strong, clean promotional copy on tight deadlines.

• Skilled at translating complex medical research into strong, impactful, attention grabbing promotional copy.

• Excellent overall writing skills.

• Exceptional proofreading ability.

• Superior attention to detail.

• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

• Able to work well independently, responding to requests and hitting deadlines.

• Ability to work remotely.

• Interest in furthering a cure for hearing loss and tinnitus.

• Bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience (preferably in an advertising agency environment)
