Description
Amnet Systems, the U.S.-based editorial services division of Amnet Systems Pvt. Ltd., seeks experienced North American freelance editors for copyediting and proofreading academic journal articles. Candidates who meet our requirements may also have the opportunity to work on book manuscripts from other types of publishers.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree (English preferred)
• 2 years editing experience in a publications environment
• Thorough knowledge of APA style, 6th edition
• Ability to use Microsoft Word's Track Changes feature
• An excellent score on an editing test
• Ability to produce thorough edits on short deadlines
• Flexibility to adapt work based on written feedback
• Strong attention to detail and to written directions
