I stumble my stuff all the time. Not every post, just the ones I think might do well. I stumbled 4 items from geekcrafts that led to 20K hits from SU. I also stumble the occasional CA post
I thought stumbling your own post was not acceptable, but I see bloggers stumbling their own work all the time. Some bloggers that I know stumble every single post that they write.
Which is more important to consider: whether you wrote the post or own the blog where the post appears?
Although I stumbled some of my own stuff when I started stumbling, I quickly realized that you are not supposed to do it.
So, what's up with bloggers stumbling their own stuff? Do they know something that I don't?
Also, does it make a difference if you pay that $20 sponsorship fee? Is that fee worth paying?
stumbling your own post makes it harder for the post to go viral...however, it also prevents your post from getting miscategorized.
I'll Stumble my own stuff selectively - just the high quality content that will suit the audience. From time to time I'll ask my SU friends to do a submission for me.
There's no rule against Stumbling your own stuff, although there's an increasingly hostile contingent on SU that disapprove of 'SEO spammers'. I think that's childish nonsense.
Bear in mind though, I'm quite an active user of StumbleUpon, so my submissions are wide and varied and I'm building up a reasonably good profile there which is going quite well for me. It helps that it's an enjoyable social media site.
thanks regel best forum rules.....
