Shane: Good advice. I had down "article assignment system" but have in fact used WP the way you're describing it, with a passworded installation. Hired bloggers would post, then I would then take the finished posts and move them "live" to the right website.
Intranet for sure. Just use a networked server, or have the DNS resolve internally.




) or internal to your network and, with multiple authors, use it as a collaborative work system with update posts, static pages for content in progress, tracking achievements and milestones etc
