button links in sidebar

I have not used Cutline in a very long time and even when I did before, I didn't use buttons in the sidebar for links to things such as facebook etc.

I would like my page to have buttons somewhat like this page (which uses cutline) http://dresramblings.com/. I like how he has all the buttons for twitter, facebook etc under there instead of just a list.
I downloaded some buttons and uploaded them to my server, but now, I can't seem to find where I need to put them.

Also, any idea on how he got his "about" "follow" etc to be colred boxes rather than a text blurb?

Use HTML to add the buttons to a widget or to your sidebar.php template.

Hey, rubyfruit, looks like he may be using something like the share/follow widget found in the Wordpress plugins list. So am I, but without the header for the box. Take a look: http://ewkrausecom.com/theportal.
