    Default Online Interviews

Have you been interviewed on any blogs, sites, tv shows, newspapers, etc? Talk about your experiences. Was it fun, easy, interesting? Did it drive traffic, links, brand recognition?

I have been interviewed a few times, but not very often in the last year. I think by not hunting for interview opportunities, I have actually let my brand fall from being in the public eye. At one point, newspapers were contacting me to interview me, now I don't even feel like blogs want to know about me or talk to me about what I know.

    What say you fellow Hivers?

I've done several and it's always been good for traffic. The most recent, with the BlogHerald, was on behalf of BlogTalkRadio and since I don't get to see the stats there I don't know how well it did. The interviews I do on behalf of FWJ always send at least some traffic my way.

Interest in me (without BlogTalkRadio) died down in the year since accepting the Community Manager gig. One of the reasons I'm going back to freelancing is because the BTR gig is doing a lot of damage to the reputation I worked so hard to build.

I think it'll come back, David. Make yourself a force to be reckoned with in the blogosphere and they'll all want to talk to you.

We at Teenormous have thought about making a push to get interviewed by business/entrepreneurial/startup sites/blogs since we're a "little guy" making a splash in the tee industry. Still not sure if it's worth the time or effort really. we have a status blog post upcoming that may help in that regards though.

brian - I think it could definitely be worth it. If nothing else, some more exposure, direct back links, and possible secondary back links could really be helpful.

deb - You and I are totally on the same page, though you have the nice big FWJ to use to quickly build some momentum again.
