Facebook is coming to a couple of European countries in the 1st half of 2008.
German business newspaper Handelsblatt had the exclusive story.

Founder Mark Zuckerberg is expanding Facebook i.e. to Germany.

According to the German business newspaper Handelsblatt Facebook will expand with some localized versions to Europe. This was confirmed by Net Jacobsson.

"Im ersten oder zweiten Quartal werden wir in mehreren europäischen Ländern Seiten in deren Heimatsprache starten. Darunter ist auch Deutschland." sagte Net Jacobsson, Direktor für das Auslandsgeschäft, dem Handelsblatt.

"In the 1st or 2nd quarter we will start pages in multiple European countries in their home language. Germany is among them." said Net Jacobsson, foreign business officer, to the Handelsblatt.

The European Facebook clone StudiVZ (students) and the business network XING (formerly known as OpenBC, more business related) should better be warned.
