Currentlty Performancing does API Autodetect based recognizing known blog types - seehttp://performancing.com/firefox/handbook/account-wizard However, there is already a framework for *real* API Autodetect - Really Simple Discovery (RSD) - http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/blogs/gems/tech/rsd.html Many blog authoring tools support RSD - Flock, Ecto, Windows Live Writer and more that I don't remember.
I hope you can find the time/resources to add RSD support in the next release. This would solve all the problems with Drupal for example and support many minor blog software (like Pivot).
Thx for your time.

Hey Hans, Thanks. We
Hey Hans,
Thanks. We actually do support it (althought it might be buggy?).
We do do manual domain checking for well known services like blogger.com, wordpress.com, jeeran, etc. etc.
However for all others we do look for a RSD link and if found present your api url.
Is it not working for you?
I'm glad you support RSD -
I'm glad you support RSD - maybe add that fact to handbook (link I used above).
No, it doesn't work with Performancing. However, it does work with Ecto, Flock and some other blog apps I have tested. I'm using Pivot, pivotlog.net, (and I'm a Pivot developer) and I'm currently improving our MetaWeblog implementation. That's how I discovered that our RSD isn't used by Performancing. You can debug on my development/test blog - http://home.himolde.no/~nordhaug/development/pivot/svn/trunk/blog/ If you look at the source code of that page you'll find the EditURI link (which is http://home.himolde.no/~nordhaug/development/pivot/svn/trunk/blog/rsd-index.xml)
Thx for the quick reply. Let me know if I can help (or we have a bug in our RSD).
Hansfn, Thank you so much,
Hansfn,
Thank you so much, it was a bug in PFF.
I have fixed it, and it will be in the next release of PFF.
Thank you for the link to your test blog, and for posting here. I never noticed it didn't work before.
Cheers
-Jed
