Hi guys,
I'm not sure it's the right place to ask it, but since development people are the ones that will one day provide new features, I will give it a try! :)
I was wondering if it would be possible to add MarkDown or Textile recognized by PFF. For instance, I write a post in Markdown or Textile and Performancing will send to the blof NOT the markup, but the XHTML of it. This is needed as some blogs behave bad with these markup "dialects", and IMHO it would not make much sense keep dialected posts in the database.
I do not know if it can be implemented as an Addon...
I think it would be great to have the power of PFF and the speed of Markdown and Textile. When you learn markdown or textile you get "addicted"...
I'll be waiting for feedback!

Sounds good, although I'm not exactly sure what you mean.
I guess what we could do is make an addon that lets you write 'Markdown' or 'Textile' in the source mode, then when you switch to live edit or preview mode, change it all to xhtml, and visa-versa. Would also need to prompt you on post if you are in Source mode to make the switch.
Is that what you mean?
Or, we could have an easier to make addon that "Convert from Textile/Markdown" and so any selected text will be converted to XHTML (could have a Convert to Textile/Mardown as well).
What were you thinking?
@Jed: That's a great idea!
@Jed: That's a great idea! Using Textile in source code and translating it to XHTML would be a very nice feature.
But maybe a new tab 'Textile' could be invented?

Hmm.. a new tab might be an even better idea for an addon. I'll have to think about that a bit more..
