Adding Tags: Suggestion

I use tags for my wordpress site. I am using the Ultimate Tag Warrior plugin.

It uses two tables to store all the tags. I would like to see these used instead of categories. I hate the wordpress categories.

Anyone else use tags and think this is a good idea?

look at Microsoft's Live Writer Beta. It has a panel
that adds tags to your post that work with UTW.

Does it take them from a different field like keywords or something?
