Help Me Choose a Design for my car blog

I'm getting a new theme designed for the blog Ride Lust and was hoping you could provide me some feedback on the two current mockups:

Think of the blog as hybrid meets muscle. Thoughts? Which one do you prefer? What could be improved?

Damn!, Ryan. The site never looked so good when I had it. Both are great designs. The first looks more magazine-y. Depends on whether you want to be edgy or not. If edgy, go with the first design.
