So the 4th of October officially marks 2 months since the start of College Crunch. The first month was almost completely spent doing information architecture and site planning. This included getting a new site design.

The second month was spent laying down some content and doing some initial site promotion. Content included the following: 1) resource oriented blog posts 2) college profiles 3) career profiles 4) listbait. We also got a really nice plugin developed by Andrew at Devulge which helps us manage pages much more effectively (shows word count and last edit date in list format for all pages so you know what's been worked on and what needs working on).

So far, search has been trickling in, but just that, trickling in. We've gotten decent success with StumbleUpon.

Just this last week we started getting College Crunch listed in a bunch of CSS and design galleries. Here's a sampling:

That's one of the benefits of getting a nice design for your site. You can then showcase your design and organically build links to your site.

So, two months into this project we are just about where I expected us to be. We've got something with a lot of unrealized potential and we just have to keep persevering and pushing forward. Do a little each day. Make a great resource that people enjoy using and you can't fail.
