College Crunch Diary For The Week Ending 10/11/2008

This has probably been the most frustrating week for me since College Crunch launched. Why? Primarily because I did not see any concrete, substantive progress on the site.

Each week that I've been doing these diary entries there has been some substantive development. Attempted linkbait. Guest posting. Major content development. You know, the kind of things that the eye can see.

To use a house building analogy, this past week was less like framing up the rooms, and a lot more like spackling and sanding the walls.

One positive development: The lack of visible progress on the site brought me to do a more thorough analysis of what it will take on a monthly, weekly and daily basis to reach my 2 year goal with this site. Pacing is going to be important.

Sometimes it takes frustration to motivate positive action. Sad but true.

Now I know. This has enabled me to set clearer goals and expectations. Hopefully that will translate into a steadier progress.

Don't worry!

Hey man it's ok... this internet stuff isn't easy. Keep at it, it's a huge learning curve, and once you find something that works you'll be able to run with it!
